                 What is high barrier Packaging Material?                

High-barrier plastic packaging material is a kind of packaging material with good oxygen barrier, water barrier and high permeability, and can play a good role in quality preservation, freshness preservation and shelf life extension. Chemical structure and aggregate structure are the main factors that determine the breathability of packaging materials. It can be seen from the principle of similar compatibility that non-polar polymer materials are easily permeable to non-polar gases, such as polypropylene (PP), PE, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), polystyrene (PS), and have very high performance. The air permeability belongs to the breathable packaging material. Low air permeability of polar polymers, such as polyamide (PA, also known as copolymerized nylon), polyacrylonitrile (PAN), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene terephthalate Alcohol ester (PET), polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH), etc. are all barrier packaging materials.

The advantage is that it can provide a stable internal environment for meat products, which can extend the storage period, avoid the growth and reproduction of microorganisms, avoid or reduce the probability of pathogenic bacteria, reduce fat oxidation and quality deterioration, and avoid meat products in The generation of odor during storage, the change of meat color, etc.

                                        What is EVOH ？                                

1. EVOH is the most widely used high barrier material;

2. The film types of EVOH materials include non-stretching type, biaxial stretching type, aluminum evaporation type, adhesive coating type, etc.;

3. Among the biaxially stretched types, there are heat-resistant types for aseptic packaging products. The barrier performance of EVOH depends on the ethylene content. When the ethylene content increases, the gas barrier performance decreases, but it is easy to process;

4. EVOH has excellent gas barrier properties and excellent processability, excellent transparency, gloss, mechanical strength, flexibility, wear resistance, cold resistance and surface strength.
